Our History
Ferguson Fine Homes was founded by Bill Ferguson in 1995 under the name Ferguson Carpentry in Orangeville, Ontario. Over the past 30 years, the company has grown into a leading custom home builder and general contractor, completing over 500 projects ranging from custom homes to full-scale renovations and additions.
In 2005, Bill’s younger brother, Chad Ferguson, who had been involved in the business for many years, officially joined as a full partner and co-owner. Together, they have built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional customer service and craftsmanship, earning the trust of homeowners throughout the region.
Continuing to expand their services, Ferguson Fine Homes opened their in-house cabinetry shop in 2015, allowing them to create custom, high-quality pieces tailored to each client’s unique needs. In 2021, they further enhanced the client experience by opening their showroom, where clients can browse and select samples to help bring their vision to life.
Today, Ferguson Fine Homes offers comprehensive project management, guiding clients through every stage—from initial design to final construction. They proudly serve a wide range of communities across Dufferin County, Orangeville, Erin, Caledon, Halton Hills, Muskoka, and beyond.

Ferguson’s provided not only excellent skilled labour for all aspects from demolition to reconstruction, tiling & painting, but were most helpful with advice & suggestions for achieving the best result. They were also qualified to create some custom built-ins to meet the exact needs of the space. Despite the house being a construction zone for many months, at the end of each day it was left as neat & clean as possible & everyone was as considerate of our privacy, which makes a big difference when you are living in total chaos. The communication flow was very good so we always knew the state of play. Considering the scope, the project was completed in a timely manner.
